On 01.04.2009 we introduced a standard metal handle in the stainless steel colour for PVC doors and a metal handle as well as hinges in the colour of natural aluminium for aluminium doors (except for the white colour RAL 9016 and brown RAL 8019 - for these doors hinges according to a particular colour). Handles and hinges in other colours are available for an extra charge.

On 01.04.2009 we introduced the caramel gasket available in the VP,VS and VR systems for the light oak and golden oak colours.

On 1st January 2009 the EU Directive no 2002/91/WE on banning trading, renting and dealing in buildings wuthout an energy audit was implemented. It means that since January 2009 every landlord, buyer etc. has been aware of their choice of the product. Properties with the energy class A will be purchased most willingly, while investors who chose materials minimising use costs will sell them at a significantly better price. The stable raw materials and energy prices increase that has been observed recently leads to bigger costs of keeping households. We are starting to seek solutions that are to considerably reduce use costs. It was not so long ago that only a few people could afford to buy class A household equipment due to its high purchase costs. Our bigger and bigger awareness of the quality of the products we buy and the fact how much can be saved while using them have virtually eliminated class E equipment.
It will be similar to state-of-the-art windows produced by Vetrex. In the early 90s of the last century in the dynamically developing window market there were only a few who bought U – 1,1 W/m2 K glazing. Nowadays it is standard. Modern, energy-saving Alphaline windows with two-chamber Ug = 0,5 or 0,7 W/m2K glazing are another step that is to allow further use costs reduction.

Modern, energy-saving glazed units used in windows or building elevations are two-chamber glazing with a very low Ug warmth permeability coefficient, in which particular panes have special layers. In such units there has to be a low-emission layer, which reduces the loss of warmth accumulated in a building. Alphaline windows with 4/16/4/16/4 Ug=0,7 W/m2K glazing provide the coefficient U for the whole window amounting to 0,9 W/m2K. This is a very good value and it leads to real energy saving in households, which is certified by the results of research conducted by the Institute IFT in Rosenheim  on Vetrex request. With 4/18/4/18/4 Ug=0,5 W/m2K glazing the coefficient will be even lower, while the price of windows remains the same! Therefore one can save even more without any additional costs!

We introduce 48 mm (4/18/4/18/4) glazing with the U=0,5 W/Km² rate to Vetrex Alphaline 90+ windows! The glazing provides unique thermal insulation, which contributes to saving on heating rooms. It takes the 107.208 glazing slat, whose scheme can be seen below.

From 12.01.2009 the Vetrex offer will be expanded by three new standard woodlike veneers Winchester, Siena Noce and Siena Rosso.

• Winchester - with the co-extrusion of the outer wall in outside colours and with a caramel core in two-sided colours, caramel gaskets as standard (two-sided colour – all, one-sided colour – veneer side). Availability: VP, VPC, VS, VR, VA 90+.

According to European requirements, from 19th November 2007 VETREX introduces marking its products with the CE marking. It will guarantee that our windows meet safety regulations obliging in the UE. The right identification of original VETREX products will be possible owing to the marking placed on the frame, which can be seen in the following photograph.

In 2008 VETREX will offer windows of the new generation - Alphaline 90! In standard: Roto NT Designo hardware, U=0,7 W/m2K glazing, Secustic handles.

Features of the Alphaline 90 system:

• 6-chamber system, 90 mm deep, thermal insulation: U=0,8 W/m2K with insulating wedge, walls' thickness of the highest quality according to RAL "class A" (DIN 12608), central gaskets, 3 gasket levels for better acoustic insulation, better tightness and effective warmth permeability insulation. Thanks to numerous curves, hardware is perfectly installed in the sash and frame.
• Additional fixing of hardware and fasteners with bolts - like in the VEKA 70 mm system
• Glazing from 24 to 50 mm

Use safety is one of the most fundamental rules of windows and hardware. An open window attracts and interests children playing in a room. There is a big risk that they may lean out of the window and lose balance. Windows with the Roto NT Tilt First hardware protects children rooms as well as kindergartens and schools. After turning the handle by 90' the sash of the window is tilt. The handle does not allow the sash to open from this position. Only after turning the key does it lift the blockade and lets place the handle vertically as well as open the window. Putting the handle to the tilt position once again activates the blockade. Everyone can tilt the window without the key, but they cannot open it. This solution guarantees safety to children and simultaneously allows airing the room in the tilt position. If the room is to perform a different fuction, it is very easy to remove the blockade.

In order to meet investors' high expectations with regard to functionality and aesthetics we introduced a new NT Designo hardware solution with completely hidden (under the gasket) hinges, which do not disturb our windows' great appearance.

In order to create functional flats with no limits we introduced hardware with easier handling - ROTO NT KOMFORT. In this way we endeavour to facilitate every day windows use to elderly people and the disabled.

Features and assets of the hardware:
intelligent hardware mechanism construction thanks to a special, longer handle allowing window use without considerable effort, placing the handle at the bottom allows window use almost always in the sitting position, easy and comfortable opening, tilting or closing the window facilitated by hardware with the forced opening mechanism working on the basis of turning the handle to the right position.

In order to meet our clients' expectations concerning carpentry protection from attempts of unwanted intrusion from the outside we implemented an additional set of safety devices hampering break-ins. We offer special hardware with bolting hooks made of hardened steel. Hardware of this kind is a solution transferred from the bolting system used at present solely in outside doors. It allows complete placing steel hooks in the frame during bolting. The possibility of applying this option in Tilt & Turn windows and balcony doors sets new standards, meeting the highest international requirements as far as windows safety devices are concerned.

In order to meet our clients' expectations with regard to the best reduction of thermal energy emission from rooms to the outside possible, which is connected with the optimal cost of a window, we introduced a new type of glazing with the heat transfer rate Ug=0,7 W/m2xK. Heat-insulating U=0,7 glazing has got two chambers and consists of three 4 mm units, two of them being Thermofloat (with a low emission layer). The spaces between the panes are filled with noble gas (argon), which additionally lowers the Ug heat transfer rate.
